holy crap!~

Holy fucking crap.

So I just had some stupid mini meltdown again about getting job and how it freaks me out emotionally because of my broken face and all that dandy shit. I wrote a massive entry the other night about it but decided not to post. Hurrrrr. Soooo I moped at my lovely canada boy then decided I NEED to do a pattern mock up of my skirt plans for the masquerade ball.

I have sooooooo much stuff I need to pull out of my ass by June. Ugh.

And then I decided to google "starry night fabric" because I have this lovely fabric dreamed up in my noggin that I would like to make my skirt out of but I'm sure that if I ever actually found this fabric it would cost out the ass and an arm and I would cry on the floor of the store. Fffffff. Plus I'm going to need a massive amount of yardage.

The fabric I'm dreaming of is a sheer but almost opaque black and blue with some fleckles of white to emulate a starry night sky kind of feel.

So I googled. And then I saw this thumbnail of this fabric.

 Here are more lovely fabrics.

Well, it's not exactly what I want. I definitely want it to be much darker than this. But this is in the right direction of feel. And as suspected, it costs out the ass.

Fat Eighth $15.00
Fat Quarter $30.00
Fat Half $60.00

Uuuuugggggh.

However, just as I stared at the page of these beautiful hand painted fabrics I thought, why can't I do that? And then I thought about all of those badass galaxy shirts, leggings, shoes, bags, every fucking thing and how I've been trying to find the functional project for me that I can do that on and this is it. Galaxy shirt how-to.

I can buy thin, kind of sheerish cotton for sooooo much less, for something that is actually affordable since I probably need some massive amount of yardage. And then it will make the skirt even more custom and one of a kind.

I am so fucking stoked.

Granted I totally still have a shit ton of work to do before I can get to the actuality of making my own galaxy Rococo skirt, I'm stoked nonetheless.

And I have some more lovely inspiration photos that keep making my mind swirl around what do I want to do exactly.

This whole first group is all Alexander McQueen goodies. For the most part, I'm inspired by something from one garment of each pairing of photos.

...I'm determined to make a dress that is similar to the one on the left to frolic in this summer. A bit less boob smoosh though. I'd like to breathe.

All about that neckline on the left. Uuuugggh.

From ebay sale. It's simply a gorgeous gown and I would love to own it.

Best wishes to all the lovelies. I'm off to attempt a pattern mock up situation thing. Hurrrr. <3
